A month into the New Year now, Navigo has kicked off 2011 by adding some great skill sets to its portfolio. We have recently recruited three new professionals into our Melbourne office. Our workforce expansion help’s us provide better service to our customers. Here’s a quick overview of our new recruits!

Steve Corin

Steve is one of our most valuable acquisitions in the recent times. He joins Navigo with 14 years of Alesco consulting experience with Talent2 to his credit. His expertise in Alesco’s implementation, troubleshooting and system migration is emerging as a great resource for growing our clients Alesco efficiency.

Alberto Prieto

Alberto is our newest technical consultant, in charge of our support desk. He’s our go to guy for all OrgPlus and System Administration support queries. With Alberto on board you will experience a quicker support response than ever before.

Sarang Rajale

Sarang is our latest graduate recruit, who joins us as Marketing Coordinator. He primarily focuses on spreading Navigo’s message across various mediums to help you understand our service offerings.

The great news is that with the results from the latest Australian HR Tech Report, we’ll be able to tell you. Not just our opinion, but straight from the mouths of system users around Australia. See below for a short teaser of what is to come:

HRIS in Australia:
Which are the most popular and most satisfactory?

The Australian HR Tech Report is a primary research study of HR technology in organisations with 500 or more employees in Australia. This year we received 250 valid responses representing a total workforce of over 1,000,000 employees.

Of the 250 organisations surveyed, a massive 28% use Chris21 by Frontier Software as their HRIS, twice as many as any other solution. This amount is more than represented in the last report, and may not be 100% representative of the entire marketplace, however it definitely places Chris21 as a major HR solution amongst others from Talent2, SAP and Oracle.

More interesting then, is how users of these systems review HRIS performance. We asked users to rate their satisfaction with HRIS on a scale from “Very Dissatisfied” to “Very Satisfied”. Here’s how they compared.

More users prefer Oracle e-Business to any other HRIS. Chris21 from Frontier, the most implemented, is comparable but not on top. Interestingly Alesco from Talent2 is rated both second most satisfactory, but also most dis-satisfactory, a great polarisation of opinions.

The above figures represent the entire market. It ranks satisfaction in aggregate across all areas of use.

However when the report is released in February we’ll be drilling into specific areas, and presenting HRIS use segmented by Industry and Organisation Size, plus illustrating how HRIS compare across specific solution areas as diverse as Payroll, Applicant Tracking and Performance Management.

About the Australian HR Tech Report

The Australian HR Tech Report survey by Navigo is Australia’s largest HR technology research study, this year the 2011 report will draw from 250 valid responses from organisations representing a total workforce of over 1,000,000 employees. Visit the HR Tech Report website to learn more.

What does that mean for you?

For all Navigo OrgPlus customers, regardless of whether your solution is Desktop or Enterprise, there will be no change.

Navigo will continue to support, distribute and sell all versions of OrgPlus exclusively in the Australian and New Zealand regions. We’ll continue to answer all of your calls and emails, and continue to provide you the products and service you’ve come to expect.

For OrgPlus Enterprise customers your solution remains with HumanConcepts as the vendor, and remains supported by Navigo. Everything is status quo.

For OrgPlus Desktop customers (those with Standard, Professional or Premium) your solution now resides with Administaff as vendor, but remains supported by Navigo. Moving forward, the OrgPlus Desktop range will continue to be supported by Navigo in partnership with Administaff.

Today we released the Australian HR Tech Report 2010, the latest primary research into HR systems and technology in Australia, including the uptake and satisfaction with HRIS and HR systems, motivators and roadblocks for improvement.

We’ve conducted this research with the aim of giving a little something back to HR in Australia. Many of our customers helped us by submitting their responses to our HR tech survey – to them a huge a thank you.

The report is 40 pages long with commentary, conclusions and recommendations from Peter Forbes, our co-founder and chief HR technology expert. Analysis is divided by industry category and organisation size (in number of employees) to allow you to benchmark your HR organisation against those with similar requirements.
